RISING GIANT IN AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY SEEKS NETWORK SUPPORT SPECIALIST 

 

We’re a successful small company based in Louisville. We’re growing rapidly, undergoing a national expansion. In the past five years, we’ve grown from 60 employees to 300. We’ve averaged 50% revenue growth each year over the past 5 years. We’re looking for an experienced, confident Network Support Specialist to help play an important part in our growth.

Responsibilities

 

  • Drive antivirus initiatives
  • Create and update network security protocols
  • Maintain the networking hardware (servers and network specific systems)
  • Manage and maintain the office network
  • Order and install office hardware
  • Oversee IT hardware and supplies purchases
  • Run necessary network wire throughout the campus

Core Job Function:

  • Configure routers and switches that support a wide range VPN, QOS, NTP, DNS, SSH, FTP, and firewall services
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of network monitoring tools and advanced network security practices 
  • Database server management skills and some experience with MySQL, bug tracking applications (Bugzilla/Mantis), and GIT/SVN servers and applications
  • Experience managing FTP/SMB servers and Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices

Bonus Points for experience with:

  • Cross Platform support of PCs, Macs, and Linux based devices
  • Experience with Android and iOS would also be helpful
  • Alarm system and security camera management/deployment
  • Support for virtual machine platforms from VMware, Parallels, & Oracle Virtual Box
