Overview

RISING GIANT IN AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY SEEKS INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER/TRAINING MANAGER

We’re a successful fast growing company based in Louisville, Kentucky. We’re growing rapidly, undergoing a national expansion. In the past five years, we’ve grown from 60 employees to over 300. We’ve averaged 50% revenue growth each year over the past 6 years. We’re looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to help play an important part in our growth. You’ll play a key role in designing and implementing plans when expanding a company. You'll experience the satisfying feeling of having your ideas immediately put into action -- no waiting for a committee or bureaucracy to approve them first.

You’ll enjoy the stability and excitement which comes from working with a successful company undergoing a major expansion.

  • Partner with other departments to author, design and develop engaging computer-based learning content and/or blended learning solutions for a variety of audiences.
  • Measure training effectiveness/ROI and address specific feedback to revise content as needed.
  • Graphic design and production of a variety of media, eLearning, illustrations, simulations, videos, and animation.
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
  • Maintain project documentation
  • Leverage technology or social media where appropriate
  • Update all training materials as needed
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines

  • Proven project management experience with the ability to prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar

What We Offer:

    • Uncommon growth, therefore uncommon opportunities for advancement (10 point font)
    • Health, dental and vision insurance
    • Company paid life insurance
    • Company sponsored 401k retirement plan with employer match
    • Paid vacations and holidays
    • Personal Time Off
    • Normal business hours, Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation:

Pay for this position will range from $50,000 to $70,000. Salary is commensurate with experience. Pay raises are typically dramatically higher than the national average for those who apply themselves, and are promoted as they grow with the company.

Growth=Opportunities:

Fast-growing companies are rare, and many people don’t have experience in that environment.  We’re looking for people who are eager to apply and challenge themselves. Ideal candidates are assertive, aggressive self-starters. If you’re someone who really “owns” projects at work, is a passionate advocate, who doesn’t need supervision to get results--then this company is for you. If you’re only looking for a paycheck, this won’t be ideal for you. We (and you) want to make sure you’re a good “fit” for our company. We want you to be happy here. If you’re interested in advancement, ambitious, and show potential, you’ll get more responsibility. You may be asked to “wear more than one hat”. For those who want to gain a lot of great experience and develop their skill set, this is a rare opportunity.

Our Team, Our Office:

We strive for a great work culture. Even though we’re growing fast, we have normal business hours. We have a fun group of people who will make you feel welcome. We’re located in the “NuLu” district in downtown Louisville, known for its upscale restaurants, specialty stores and art galleries. We have a modern office with an open layout, a billiards and game loft with a bar, a deck outside, and outdoor ping-pong. We recently bought another new building to accommodate our growth. Everyone’s really excited--maybe you’ll enjoy these new additions with us. You may bring your dog to work.
